I worked as a licensed cosmetologist for over 15 years but decided to make a career change after a change in ownership. I went into office work, emergency dispatch and worked as a chiropractic assistant. For the first time in my life I felt unhappy. I reevaluated my goals and had to think of when I was most happy. It was as a cosmetologist, knowing I always made someone feel better and special. I wanted to do just that again. It was then I decided to go back to school and study massage. It quickly became my passion. I graduated from the National Holistic Institute for Massage in San Jose in early 2017. After completing the standard core 900 hours, I decided I wanted to further my education and decided to take the Advanced Neuromuscular Therapy program, ultimately completing 1400 total hours of massage education. While in the core program I did my internship at a chiropractic office and at Notre Dame de Namur University’s athletic department as well as Stanford University’s athletic department. While doing my extern hours I decided I wanted to be able to do more, heal more, and be able to really make a difference. Soon, I was learning different techniques and getting certifications to add to my modalities and knowledge. I was very blessed to have some of the jobs a therapist dreams about.
It is now my passion and mission to help people in achieving a higher level of health, aid in the quality of being one’s best self, and a sense of wellness.
My approach is unique because every treatment is customized and designed to fit each clients individual needs and goals.

"Malissa was a great therapist for me. She was very professional with her service and was highly educated on the areas my body needed work on. Knowing exactly how each body part was effected by any injury.. She would focus and continue working on areas that caused me pain until the aches were gone. I saw her on a week to week basis and my body always felt fresh on GameDay. She had all the tools necessary to get things done as well."
"Malissa did a great job keeping my body fresh and healthy during the two years I worked with her at Saint Mary’s College, she accommodated each session specifically to my needs and was always a pleasure to work with. "I am happy to recommend Malissa as a massage therapist. She has the ability to find the cause of your pain. She massages areas until you feel relaxed and the stress your muscles are carrying is released. Sometimes you may not have realized a certain area was tense until it is released by Melissa's massage. She is unique in finding areas that need to be massaged. She has studied several types of massage therapies and knows exactly what will help you. Give her a try."
"Getting worked on by Malissa is an amazing feeling because you know that after she Is done, you will feel a lot better than when you first came in. I have been lucky to experience a little of everything she has to offer, from massage to stretching and sometimes even blading. She has many modalities and ways to help my body feel and move better. " Playing sport makes sure I am sore all the time. I've seen a lot of massage therapists during my career and had come to only expect a level of mediocre maintenance that would get me through the next couple of days. When I started working with Malissa, she set a new bar. After sessions, I felt amazing. General soreness was an easy fix and pain that had lingered for years was dealt with in a couple of sessions. As a professional, Malissa was a game changer. I now expect her level of expertise wherever and whenever I seek massage therapy. I couldn’t recommend her enough."

I have tried many different massage therapists and Malissa has been the very best fit for me. Her extensive experience working with athletes and assisting them with injury relief is evident through her various techniques. Her bedside manner is down to earth and professional which I greatly appreciate. I have often seen Malissa at times when I’ve been in great discomfort from injury or high stress and have found her sessions to make a huge difference. I have and continue to recommend her highly to friends and others.”
